Für sein Oud Solostück, begibt sich Grégory Dargent auf Spurensuche. Er hinterfragt darin die Sehnsucht eines Vaters, der 1962 als Kind aus Algerien vertrieben wurde und seine eigene, eher distanzierte Zugehörigkeit zur arabischen Welt. Auf Reisen durch Marokko, Ägypten, dem Libanon, Griechenland und dem Irak hat er Tonaufnahmen gemacht, gefilmt und fotografisch die Zeit in diesen Ländern eingefangen, in denen die Oud sehr populär ist.
