Die Gruppenausstellung Masculinities: Liberation through Photography versammelt unter anderem Arbeiten von Laurie Anderson, Richard Avedon, Rotimi Fani-Kayode, Isaac Julien, Annette Messager sowie Wolfgang Tillmans und untersucht, auf welche Weise Männlichkeit seit den 1960er Jahren erlebt, performativ hergestellt und sozial konstruiert wird.

Der European Month of Photography Berlin zeigt seit 2004 alle zwei Jahre die Bandbreite historischer und zeitgenössischer Fotografie. Museen, Kulturinstitutionen, Galerien, Projekträume, Botschaften und Fotoschulen in Berlin und Potsdam präsentieren in diesem Jahr vom 1. bis 31. Oktober zahlreiche Ausstellungsprojekte und Veranstaltungen.
